Samples for Sherrill

I have been busy creating my 20 samples for Sherrill Graff. I took them along to the market last weekend and my 5 yr old helped to cut them all out and glitter them and assemble. She loves to help! She may be my 1st recruit! I even got my mom to help when she saw the Big Shot. I decided to go with a variation of the original card. I used the new Rich Razzleberry cardstock and Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper. The background is Baroque Motif swirly in Old Olive, Ribbon is Rich Razzleberry, I used the Birds and leaves Bigz die and the Boho Blossom punch. The center is a rhinestone brad. I love these colors! I found out later that my upline, Rebekah Jensen, used the same color scheme for her samples!
Well I have to work again today, so I will cut this short. The Blog Tour is over, but, hopefully, you will all keep coming back for more ideas. Share some with me sometime too. Thanks!

The winners are......

I love the vellum added to the cards. It gives them such an elegant look.

We are only 4 posts away from the #100 mark where someone LUCKY will receive a pack of DSP for FREE!

Thanks to all who took advantage of the $20 FREE merchandise offer! There is still time if anyone else wants in on it. I will be sending the order on Friday night.

Thank you to everyone who rode the tour! Without you, it wouldn't be possible. And thanks to all the ladies who worked hard to set it up and keep it going smoothly. We all appreciate your hard work and long hours.

A special thanks goes to Heather Wright-Porto who has worked extra hard and stayed up WAY past her bedtime on many occasions to help a lot of us get ready for this tour! She is due with her 2nd child as we speak! Blessings to you Heather! We all want to meet Luke when he arrives.

Another special thanks goes to Michelle Laycock who designed all my graphics so I could show them off to you all. I really love the look and I got so many comments about them. Thanks Michelle! You should all check out her site!

It's been fun meeting you all, now let's all go create!

Favorite Christmas stamp

I haven't had a chance to stamp for a few days so I'm going through pictures. I found one that I made for Christmas last year. I used the Family from the Holy Tryptich set. I love the elegance of this set. It is embossed in gold on vellum and I sewed the lace on for added effect. The star brads are not SU.

I didn't take a picture, but my box arrived from Sherrill Graff today! I was very excited. I can't wait to get started. The Cottage Wall DSP is even more beautiful up close than you can imagine! Hopefully I can get the cards finished and ready to send by next week this time. Have a good night!

Pen Pal Excursion

A few weeks ago, I met my penpal in person for the first time since we began writing about 13 yrs ago. We only had a couple hours together, but it was a lot of fun! Our kids played like they've been best buddies since birth. The plan was to visit Cherry Crest Farm in Lancaster County, PA, but it rained. So, we opted for the Hands-On-House at Landis Valley instead. Here are some pictures.
Noah's raccoon puppet.

Farmer Ericson & Farmer Jonathan picking corn.

Miss Hannah and Pirate Ericson.

Gramma and the gang.

Heidi as a cashier.

Jamie Baker with a plaid look.

The grown-up version of John Ericson Baker.

Ginger grocery shopping.

Ginger gathering & packaging eggs to sell.

Devon building a model car.

Galen, Ericson, & Noah playing with model cars.

The whole group!
Thanks Paul & Bethany for bringing your family up here! I hope we can meet again sometime.

My new blog look!

The graphics are finished and installed. Thank you Michelle & Heather!!!!! I really love it!

I will post some pictures tomorrow from our trip to the Hands-On-House in Lancaster County, PA. We went there with my penpal, Bethany, and her family from TX.

Recipe 6x6 swap

I joined a 6x6 recipe swap and we are doing one page every 2 months. This was my first submission for Sweets & Desserts. My recipe was Old Fashioned Apple Dumplings. I used the Washington Apple DSP and embossed apples in red. Then I printed and mounted my recipe on Bashful Blue CS and embellished with apple cores, swirly, and flower with a clear rhinestone brad. The cores were made using the round tab punch. One from each~ Certainly Celery, Riding Hood Red, and Confetti White. Tear the rounded ends off of the celery and red ones, then adhere them to the round ends of the Confetti white. Use a black Stampin' Write marker to make seeds. I actually forgot to make stems, but it looks OK I think. Pop them up with dimensionals. I CASE'd this idea from Debi Post, a former SU demonstrator from VA. Thank you Debi! Have a great day!

VBS Projects

Here are some of the projects from VBS. The kids absolutely loved them! It really wasn't complicated so they pretty much did them on their own. The craft stamp pads were messy though! I loved how the little clipboard turned out! I found the giraffe picture on Google. The boys didn't want ribbons tied to the top of theirs though because that's girl stuff! And the Post-it notes on the zebra had to be replaced because they were all falling apart. I also have about 18 little tote bags left to return to Michael's because a lot of kids were on vacation or sick and didn't make it many nights. Well, have a great night!

This was my submission for a 'Winged Creatures swap'. Unfortunately it is lost in the mail somewhere, so no one may ever see them again. I used Basic Black, Bermuda Bay , and Whisper White. I really love the new in-colors! I am working on more swap stuff today so I will probably share tomorrow. Have a great day!
